I received my HTC HD7 this week. It surely is a gem of all windows Phone devices. Most of the settings are intuitive and the device is very easy to set up. I would like to share some information for the first time users to save them some more time.
Importing SIM contacts to Windows Phone
Prior to inserting your SIM card in your new windows Phone, make sure to copy all your contacts from your earlier phone. To import the contact list to your new Windows Phone:
Slide left the home screen to see the list of apps and settings,
Tap on “Settings” , slide to “Applications” settings and tap “People”
tap on “import SIM contacts”

Pin to Start
You can easily pin just about anything you want to the Start screen, whether its app, people or picture. Flick left to go to the Apps list, Tap and hold the app icon you want to pin then then tap “Pin to Start”.
To remove the tile from the Start screen, simply tap and hold the tile and then tap the Unpin button .
